ball PFDC Development Centre Squads 2011/12

[ added 05/10/11 ]

Thanks once again to all the players who have attended the trials over the past two weeks. We have found it extremely hard to narrow the groups down. However, we have taken a mixture of players who we feel will best develop and suit the Development programme.

Once again I would hope that the players who weren't successful realise that we all develop at different stages, and that they may be extremely close to selection. We are very hopeful that many of you will show this development and be able to come into the squads during the season.

Those that have been selected are asked to attend the welcome meeting at Penryn College on Monday 10th October. This will be a non training evening where we highlight the programme and hopefully it's benefits to the children's individual football development. This evening will start at the usual training start time of 4.30, and we will hopefully be finished by 5.15.

If anyone has any questions please contact Jake Ash on jash@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk

ball Mini Soccer Spring Term Dates - STARTS SAT 14th JAN!
[added: 04/01/2012]

Firstly, may I wish all the players and parents a Happy New Year. We hope you all had a nice festive period. But it is time to get back out playing some football!

In an amendment to the letter which went out at the penultimate session, there will be NO Mini Soccer on Saturday 7th January due to the school informing us they will be closed. This means we will start up again on Saturday 14th January. Please see the new five week block structure below.

Spring Term Mini Soccer:

BLOCK 1:  January 14th, 21st, 28th
                   February 4th, 11th

NO SESSION HALF TERM – FEBRUARY 18th
BLOCK 2: February 25th
                  March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

Please note - The session we lost to the weather on Saturday 3rd December will be taken replaced by the Saturday January 14th session. Those that had paid for the ten week block will receive this session free. For everyone else it will be the first session of BLOCK 1.

The cost for each block is £15, or players can pay £3.50 for individual sessions. Those players who paid for the block of 10 weeks in the Autumn Term, will only need to pay £12 for Block 1.

We hope you have enjoyed the programme thus far. Please feel free to encourage your friends to come along and try the Saturday Morning sessions as well – the more the merrier!

Performance Programme (U13, U14, U15)

This season we will be hosting some of the Performance Squads at Penryn College. We hope that the children have who have developed through the Development Centre’s across West Cornwall will eventually progress into the Performance Programme. These teams will represent West Cornwall in Regional and National Competitions.

Last year our U15's reached the Final of the South West Counties Championship. The U14's travelled to the Isle of Wight and competed against Counties from across the Country. The U13's enjoyed a succesful first season and will build on that this year as U14's.

Trials for the 2011/12 season will be taking place in the coming weeks.
